The wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir Idris, has empowered 1000 men and women of Bayan Tasha, Filin sukuwa and Rugga in Birnin Kebbi local government.
In her remarks, the wife of the Governor thanked Allah SWT for sparing their lives to witness the 34TH anniversary of Kebbi State and her husband, the Governor of Kebbi State, praying to Allah SWT to continue to bless the state with greater success ahead.
She said the program was aimed at improving the lives of men and women and to show appreciation for the support towards the present government, calling on them to register for voter cards before the election.
She appreciated her husband for his untiring effort and support in uplifting the living condition of the citizenry.
In their remarks, The Chairman Birnin kebbi local government, Alhaji Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa, Chairman Kebbi Youth Development Association, Mubashir Muhammad, Chairman NARTO, Alh Aliyu Aliyu and Hajiya Hafsat women leader, thanked Dr Nafisa for the initiative, saying, the program has helped a lot of vulnerable men and women in the state, describing it as rewarding, while expressing their support for Kauran Gwandu to return for the second term.
In their good will messages, wife of Deputy Governor, Hajiya Maryam Tafida and wife of the Secretary to the state government, Hajiya Asma’u Alkali, hailed Dr Nafisa and her husband, Governor Nasir Idris, for their style of leadership which favors the vulnerable, praying for more success in the state.
Others who spoke at event were wife of commissioner of finance, Hajiya Fatima Abubakar Muhammad and that of the Accountant- General Haj. Shafa’atu Bello Nahaliku, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Haj. Kyauta Garba D/Mari and Haj. Maryam NUT.
The event had the attendance of NANAS foundation and Elders forum.
Highlight of the event was presentation of a bag containing Rice, spaghetti, macaroni and other food items and #20,000 cash to each of the beneficiaries.
