The wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir idris has visited Fati Lami women and children hospital to welcome first baby of the year, the baby, a female was put to bed at 6.30 am, Monday 1/1/2024, by Hajiya Fa’iza Ibrahim.
The second baby of the year was delivered at 1.30 pm, male, by Hajiya Zara’u Usman.
Also, a set of triplets were born at the hospital same new year after noon by Hajiya Hauwa’u Atiku Diggi, two males and one female.
All the new year babies and their mothers are in good condition.
In her remarks, the wife of the Governor, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir İdris, congratulated the mothers on their successful deliveries, wishing them a happy new year, prayed to Allah to bless the babies and wished the mothers quick recovery.
In their remarks, the permanent secretary, ministry of health, Dr Nuhu Koko and Medical Director of Sir Yahaya memorial hospital Birnin Kebbi Dr Zaki Abubakar, thanked the wife of the Governor for her support to the development of maternal health in the state, describing it as commendable and worthy of emulation.
They also commended the present administration led by Dr Nasir İdris, for his efforts in improving the health sector in the state.
Highlights of the visit were presentations of five hundred thousand naira (500,000) baby’s clothes, milk, nets, diapers, soap, and feeding bottles to the baby of the year, the second baby of the year Two hundred thousand naira (200,000) and baby’s items,the triplets, three hundred thousand naira (300,000) and baby’s items.
