The wife of the Governor who was represented by the state commissioner of women affairs and social development, Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba Congratulated the graduants for the successful completion of the training and called on them to use what they had learnt to make positive impact on the lives of the people in addition to using start up items given to them judiciously.
She assured women and youth in the state of her readiness to continue to support them through her foundation ( NANAS Foundation).
The wife of the Governor then commended the foundation for a job well done, describing it as an avenue to eliminate idleness amongst the youths and improving the socio economic development of the state. Speaking to journalists, state Commissioner of works and Transport, Engineer Farouk Muslim commended the KAURA/TAFIDA foundation for organizing such training which he said would go a long way in making the trainees self reliant and productive members of the society, calling on the graduands to intensify efforts in improving their businesses.
In his speech, Director primary Health Care, Alh Muhammad Umar OG (Madawakin Kauran Gwandu) said the aim of the training was to make the youths self reliant and productive members of the society, commending Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris for her support and contributions to the foundation.
The graduants were trained on various skills such as shoe making, soap making, makeup, tailoring and catering. Highlights of the occasion were goodwill messages, purchase of items made by the graduants by the dignitaries and entertainment.
