Hajiya Nafisa who was represented by wife of the Deputy governor hajiya Aisha Abubakar Umar made this known while flagging-off a program titled All-Babies-Are-Equal held at Primary Healthcare Centre Maiyama.
She called on them to support the initiative by bringing their babies to hospitals for routine immunizations.
She also thanked SMC, NPHCDA, SPHCDA, MSF, WHO, SERICC for ensuring the success of the Initiative and promised to support any organization that will bring meaningful impact to the state.
District Head of Maiyama, Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Aliyu calls on husbands to allow their wives to take their babies to Healthcare Centres to receive routine immunizations for a healthy society.
Speaking at the event, The Coordinator of the Initiative, Alhaji Mubarak Muhammad Bawa said the aim of the program is to attract the attention of women to bring their babies for immunizations.
Alhaji Mubarak Bawa further said the program was initiated in Sokoto, Kano, Bauchi and Gombe states with a cash donations to mothers that brought their babies to the hospitals.
