The wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nafisa Nasir has commended Abdullahi Mayaki family Association (AMFA) for empowering and supporting members of the family for years, promising to continue contributing her quota to the development of the association and prayed to God to grant the souls of the founding fathers of the Association Jannatul firdausi.
The Association which has been in existence since independence and late Hajiya Hauwa’u Magaji (Yar mai lodi) is the biological mother of the wife of the Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir, was a founding member.
In her welcome address, the chief host and women leader of the Association, Hajiya Hassana Sarki, commended the wife of the Governor for all her kind gestures offered within and outside the state, describing her as a role model.
Alhaji Faruku Wakili and Engineer Bashir Sarki gave brief history of the Association, saying the Association was founded by two brothers, Ubandoma Mayaki and Abdullahi Musa, who are from the maternal family of Dr Nafisa Nasir.
In his vote of thanks, the Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor on media and publicity, Alhaji Yahaya Sarki, commended the wife of the Governor for the donation and her selfless service to humanity in the state.
He prayed to Allah to reward her abundantly.
He also praised the State Governor for executing people oriented projects in the state, describing the present administration as government of the people.
Highlights of the event were presentations of two million naira cash and food items as package to the members of (AMFA).
