The State Chairman (KYDA), Mubashir Muhammad, described the 1st Kebbi State Youth Cultural Event 2025 as a testament to their commitment to promoting cultural heritage and youth development in Kebbi State. He emphasized that the event provides a platform for youths to learn, grow, and showcase their talents, while appreciating Governor Dr. Nasir Idris and his wife, Dr. Nafisa Nasir, for their support in youth development initiatives, He also appreciated the Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of Comrade Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) for the support.
In his speech, the State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, represented by the Commissioner of Works and Housing, Engineer Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim (Majikiran Gwandu), expressed delight over the event. He stated that such events strengthen and unite the four Emirates of the state, commending the governor and his wife for their support for youth development initiatives.
The Governor’s wife, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris, thanked Mubashir Muhammad, founder and State Chairman of KYDA, for organizing the event. She described it as an opportunity to build unity among youths and showcase their traditional values, Dr. Nafisa also urged youths to avoid idleness, drug abuse, and other social vices to become productive members of society.
The Commissioner of Information and Culture, Alh. Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, and Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon. Nura Bala Fingilla stated that the event would promote unity among youths from the four Emirates of Kebbi State. They expressed their full support for the current administration.
