
The wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir Idris has flagged off Malaria vaccine mobilization at primary health center, Makera.
In her address, the wife of the Governor, said the aim of the program was to enlighten people about the dangers associated with malaria, stressing the need to take precautions against the disease, reiterating government’s commitment to fighting the disease by providing vaccines in the hospitals.


She called on women to imbibe the habit of cleanliness, advising them to go for anti natal care during pregnancy, ensure proper upbringing of their children and make judicious use of the mosquito nets provided to them to prevent malaria.
In his speech, the state Commissioner of Health, Comrade Yunusa Musa Isma’il, commended the wife of the Governor for her untiring efforts towards the development of health care services in the state, acknowledging the improvement in the state health system.


In their goodwill messages, the commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba, Dr Chibuzor Oguoma, Project Director SMC, malaria consortium Nigeria, District head of Makera, Alh Musa Bashar, Executive Secretary, State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Noma, Chairman NANAS foundation, Alh Aminuddeen Attahiru Nasarawa and Councilor, Marafa Ward, Alh Kasimu Baura, commended Dr Nafisa and the Kauran Gwandu’s led administration for supporting the campaign and uplifting the standard of living of the vulnerable, emphasizing the need to visit hospitals to complement government’s efforts in ensuring better health care services.
