NANAS FOUNDATION EMPOWERS 400 LESS PRIVILEGED IN GWADANGAJI DISTRICT OF BIRNIN KEBBI LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

In her quest to bring succor to the less privileged, the wife of Kebbi state Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir Idris has empowered 400 less privileged consisting 300 women and 100 Youths in Gwadangaji district of Birnin kebbi local government, under her pet project Nafisa Nasiru Charity development foundation NANAS.

In her address Dr Nafisa Nasir said the aim of the gesture was to cushion the effects of hardship experienced by people, saying the foundation has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of people in the state before the inception of the present administration.

She appreciated her husband, the Executive Governor of Kebbi state , Dr Nasir Idris, for his support and contribution in actualizing the aim and objectives of her project, praying to Allah to reward him abundantly.

She called on the beneficiaries to use the items given to them judiciously for the benefit of their families.

In their good will messages, the wives of Deputy Governor, Speaker House of assembly and state minister of education, Hajiya Maryam Tafida, Hajiya Uwani Muhammad Ankwai, Hajiya Maryam Tanko Sununu and District head of Gwadangaji Alhaji Umar Muhammad MNI, commended the wife of the Governor and the present administration for their efforts in improving the living standards of the less privileged.

In his address the Chairman NANAS foundation, Alhaji Aminudeen Attahiru Nasarawa enumerated some of the activities and achievements of the foundation which include; empowering women and youth in the four emirates of the state among others.

In an interview with news men, the APC Chairmanship candidate Birnin kebbi local government, Alh Dahiru Nayaya and Chairman Gwadangaji committee, Engineer Muhammad Ladan,  described the program as timely as it would help in  alleviating poverty and lessen the hardship people are facing, calling on the beneficiaries not to sell the items but use them judiciously.

Dignitaries who attended the event were wives of the SSG, Accountant General, Commissioners, members of NANAS foundation and Elders forum.

The event featured entertainment and presentation of 10KG of bag of rice and 10,000 naira to 300 women and a bag of feterlizer and 10,000 naira to 100 youths.
