In her remarks, the founder of the foundation and the wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir Idris, thanked Allah for witnessing yet another Ramadan fast, calling on the Muslim Ummah to be steadfast in worshipping Allah, urging women to be supportive to their husbands as well as ensure proper upbringing of their children so as to have an egalitarian society.
She also thanked her husband, the Kebbi state Governor, Dr Nasir Idris for his support and contribution to the development of the state.
In his welcome address, the Chairman Augie Local government, Alh Yahaya Muhammad Augie, appreciated the wife of the Governor and her husband Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for uplifting the standard of living of the citizens.
In her goodwill message, the wife of Secretary to the state government, Hajiya Asma’u Alkali, commended the
wife of the Governor for organizing the event, aimed at educating women and supporting them with Rice, cash and fertilizer to cushion the effect of hardship people are currently facing, praying for Kauran Gwandu’s administration to succeed in piloting the affairs of the state.
In their presentations, Malam Abubakar Galaudu Augie and Malam Abubakar Alhassan, who spoke on the roles women play in the propagation of Islam and benefits of Ramadan, calling on women to be supportive to their husbands and be prayerful at all times
The wife of the Governor was honored with a traditional title of “Giwar matan Augie”.
The program had in attendance wives of House of assembly members, commissioners, chairmen, APC stalwarts, District head, NANAS foundation and Elders forum.
The program featured presentations of 10 KG of Rice and cash to the women, fertilizer to youths and clothing to the orphans.
