Her Excellency, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, wife of Kebbi State Governor, and founder NANAS attended an empowerment program sponsored by Honorable Garba Rabi’u Kamba, Member of the House of Representatives representing Arewa and Dandi Federal Constituency. The event aimed to support 209 women and youths from Dandi and Arewa Local Governments.
Prior to the empowerment program, Her Excellency paid a courtesy visit to the Sarkin Shikon Kamba, seeking royal blessings and fatherly advice. This gesture underscores her commitment to cultural sensitivity and community engagement.
The beneficiaries received startup capital of N50,000 each, with 100 women from each local government benefiting. Additionally, 9 youths from the two local governments received brand new motorcycles to support their businesses.
In her remarks, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously and thanked Honorable Garba Rabi’u Kamba for his kindness. She acknowledged that the empowerment program would add significant value to the beneficiaries, especially during the current economic challenges.
Her Excellency assured the beneficiaries that she would return to Dandi and Arewa Local Governments with broader and more comprehensive empowerment programs for the youth and women. She expressed gratitude to her husband, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, for his support and dedication to serving the citizens of Kebbi State.

The event featured goodwill messages, entertainment, and the presentation of startup capital to the beneficiaries.
