In the spirit of celebrating the one year anniversary of the Kauran Gwandu led administration, wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris has celebrated the day with orphans at the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development Birnin Kebbi.
In her address, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris said the aim of organizing the event was to celebrate the day with the orphans so as to have a sense of belonging.
She called on them to face their studies with all seriousness and be of good behavior at all times, assuring that the present administration will continue to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
In her speech, the State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba, appreciated the wife of the Governor for her foresight to organize the event, describing the gesture as rewarding.
She said the orphans always commended the effort of the Governor for increasing their feeding by 100% which is highly commendable.
The Director Child Development of the ministry, Alh. Atiku Alkali, thanked the wife of the Governor for the kind gesture, saying that the Governor had promised to take care of the facility and has approved the recruitment of the casual staff to man the facility, praying to God to bless him abundantly.
Dignitaries who accompanied the wife of the Governor were Wives of SSG, Commissioners and Sole Administrators.
Highlight of the ceremony was presentation of food items to the commissioner of the ministry by the wife of the Governor.
