The Management of the Federal Fire Service led by the Commander, DCF Alaukwu Nwankamma have paid courtesy visit on the wife of Kebbi state Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir at her residencerecently.
In her address, the wife of the Governor, Dr. Nafisa Nasir expressed delight over the visit, saying NANAS foundation will collaborate with the state command of the fire service in sensitizing people on precautionary measures against fire outbreaks in their homes, promising to support and assist the command at all times.
In his address, the Commander of the Federal Fire Service, Kebbi State Command, DCF Alaukwu Nwankamma said the aim of the visit was to seek for collaboration with NANAS foundation in enlightening the people on safety and preventable measures of fire outbreaks, saying out of 54 cases of fire outbreaks recorded ,36 cases were caused by cooking gas.
He enumerated some of the challenges facing the command which include in adquate Mattresses, mosquitoes nets, Bedsheets and food items considering the increased number of staff in the command.
