Today 13 may 2023 Wife of the state GOVERNOR Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu Disribut’s Safe birth kit to pregnant women at Dalijan of Gwandu Local government and Alwasa of Argungu Local Government.
Hajiya Nafisa said the delivery kit is to encourage women attend Atenatal Care.
Speaking earlier, the permanent secretary ministry of health Dr Shehu Nuhu Koko said the ministry is always ready to give their support for health care service delivery in the state.
He said the Maternal and Neonatal Health programme is organized By Nafisa Nasir Charity Development Foundation NANAS in collaboration with the Ministry of Health through PHCDA to reach out to people at grass root.
On his part the chairman of NANAS Foundation Alhaji Aminuddeen Attahiru Nasarawa said the foundation has supported women and youths in the areas of Health, Education, Agriculture, empowerment and also create awareness.
Those who spoke at the occasion were wife of Deputy governor, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Umar, wife SSG Hajiya Nana Asma’u Alkali State women leader APC Hajiya Aisha Abubakar Gunabi,Rep of E S PHCDA Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed, traditional ruler and local government chairmen.
Over 500 women benefited.
