Her Excellency, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, the wife of the Kebbi State Governor, attended the ceremony. In her remarks, Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba, the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, represented Her Excellency and expressed her delight over organizing this historic event. She commended the organizers for their efforts in encouraging self-reliance among the youth, especially women. She also urged the participants to make good use of their start-up resources. Her Excellency, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir, will continue empowering women with skills acquisition and start-up kits in the state she added.
She also praised Governor Nasir Idris for his efforts in empowering women by appointing a Commissioner for Women Affairs after a gap of over 6 years.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Mustapha Yahaya Bawa, also praised the support provided by the wife of the Kebbi State Governor in the empowerment sector.
Highlights of the event included speeches by dignitaries, entertainment, and the presentation of certificates and start-up materials.
