Her Excellency, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris (Gimbiyar Basaura) Founder: Nanas Foundation has commended her husband, Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, for his support of the NBA’s ongoing medical outreach.
This commendation was made during her inspection of the ongoing medical outreach at the Nigerian Bar Association Secretariat and Garki General Hospital on Friday, September 1, 2023, in Abuja.
This outreach, which began on Sunday, is part of this year’s annual NBA general conference held in Abuja. It features the Moses Lake Medical Team from the US and Chile, in collaboration with the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, offering free medical consultations and surgeries.
During her visit to the NBA Secretariat, Hajiya Nafisa, Founder: Nafisa Nasir Charity Development Foundation who was accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Aminu Bunza, was guided to meet the doctors and offer words of encouragement.
The outreach takes place at two locations: the NBA Secretariat and Garki General Hospital. Her Excellency also toured Garki General Hospital, where the outreach is currently in progress.
While giving the tour, NBA President Bar Yakubu Chonoko MaiKyau expressed gratitude to Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris for generously supporting the initiative to provide free medical care to lawyers, Kebbi residents, and the general public without discrimination. He emphasized that this outreach is the first of its kind organized by the NBA, and the support from Kebbi State is highly appreciated.
Dr. Adamu Ono, the Medical Director of Garki Hospital, also expressed appreciation for Her Excellency’s visit and the NBA’s decision to partner with the hospital.
Her Excellency expressed her overall satisfaction with the work done so far and her eagerness to nurture the relationship with the Moses Lake Medical Team for future collaborations in offering free medical services in Kebbi.
Furthermore, Her Excellency used the opportunity to provide additional financial support to the patients Under her foundation NANAS benefiting from the outreach.
